How to Get an ABN

You can get an ABN for free by completing this ABN Form on Government websites.

It normally takes less than 5 minutes to apply.

Sometimes, you can then instantly go to ABN Lookup, search your name and it's live!

To use the Kynd platform, you'll need to enter your ABN during the signup process.

You need to ensure the responses you enter genuinely reflect your circumstances.

To become a Support Worker using Kynd, you'll normally be:

> Carrying out your activities in Australia
> For taxation purposes, be an "Individual (Sole Trader) entity
> Taking steps to continue or start your activity
> The nature of your activity will be "In the form of a business"
> You are doing things consistent with running a business

What is an ABN?

Support Workers using Kynd's platform are self-employed 'sole traders'.

It's needed to be self-employed (as an independent contractor) with your own business.

An Australian Business Number (ABN) is a number given to you to identify your business.

ABN's are issued for free by Australian Government websites.

Beware of any websites that charge you a fee to get your ABN.
