If you are an independent Support Worker, you are an NDIS Provider.
This means you have compliance requirements that you must meet and adhere to.
To help you understand your requirements, we’ve summarised the important detail.
Please follow the ‘Learn More’ links to explore each area in more detail.
NDIS Code of Conduct
You are required to abide by the NDIS Code of Conduct.
The NDIS Code of Conduct helps Providers to understand the standards of conduct, behavior, and culture required to ensure that NDIS Participants can access safe and ethical support services.
As an independent Support Worker on Kynd, it’s critical that you understand your NDIS Code of Conduct obligations and requirements before you commence services with NDIS Participants.
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
To use Kynd, you need an NDIS Worker ID.
This is a Government mandated background check.
To join Kynd and provide services, you will need to link your NDIS Worker ID to Kynd.
NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
The NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate is a free online course.
We will soon soon require Support Workers on Kynd to complete this training,
It further explains the NDIS Code of Conduct for Support Workers.
NDIS Commission Regulatory Role
The NDIS Commission regulates the safety and quality of NDIS services by:
- Registering and monitoring all NDIS Providers (unregistered and registered).
- Investigating complaints and incidents.
- Overseeing worker suitability through screening.
- Enforcing compliance with standards and codes.
- Educating Providers and workers about their responsibilities.
