For bookings on Kynd, in the unlikely event a Member experiences personal injury or property damage by you, or during services you have protection from 3rd party claims.

How Insurance Works?

Kynd partners with Ansvar, a disability industry specialist and a trusted name in disability support insurance in Australia since 1961. Subject to the policies inclusions and exclusions and Kynd's Terms of Use, your insurance coverage levels include:

  • $20 million Group Public Liability
  • $2 million Group Professional Indemnity
  • $5 million Group Medical Malpractice


You won’t have any insurance coverage for any bookings or payments outside of Kynd's Platform. This insurance coverage is also subject to Kynd's Terms of Use. 

Do I really need insurance?

Yep! As a self-employed Support Worker offering people support services, you do need insurance cover to protect yourself from any claims or unexpected scenario.

Am I covered through Kynd?

Once you’re a verified Support Pro, you’re able to start and know that you’re covered, subject to the insurance policy eligibility, inclusions and exclusions and our Terms of Use. 

You will not have cover for support booked, invoiced or paid outside of Kynd.

Can I organise extra cover?

If you’d like to obtain additional insurance for any specific scenarios, personal injury, special or excluded activities, income protection or anything else… that’s your choice!
